In his first singles match for a championship since being called up to the main WWE roster, Ricochet challenged Samoa Joe for the United States title at tonight’s (Sun., June 23, 2019) Stomping Grounds pay-per-view (PPV) at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington.
That’s a winner winner chicken dinner.
The story of the match was the traditional big man vs. smaller man narrative. Joe threw Ricochet all around, and was sometimes especially violent about it, while Ricochet tried to find an opening to take control.
His selling in this match was outstanding.

Finally, Ricochet used the ropes to break the sleeper before hitting his 630 to score the pinfall. He is now your United States champion.
