WWE did a great job of making Sasha Banks a challenger to Ronda Rousey

Share the joy

Ronda Rousey may retain her title at the Royal Rumble, but Sasha Banks is not going to make it easy.

In the main event of the Royal Rumble go home episode of Raw, Rousey and Natalya squared up with Banks and Bayley. All four women put on a great performance and WWE kept dropping hints about Banks beating Rousey this Sunday night.

Of the four participants in the match, Banks walked away looking the strongest.

Eventually Banks would lock Natalya into the Banks Statement for the tap-out. The loss was the first of any kind for Rousey in her WWE career.

Post-match, just like they did prior to the opening bell, Banks and Rousey got into each other’s faces.

That’s some real fire and good old fashion hate going on between Rousey and Banks here. WWE needs more of that kind of passion in their main event feuds.

The Royal Rumble pay-per-view (PPV) takes place on Sun., Jan. 27, 2019, at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona.

Will Sasha Banks help deliver the best Ronda Rousey match we’ve ever seen on Sunday? Can The Boss pull off the upset?
