We sure do like it when McMahons get punched

Share the joy

Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what’s going on in pro wrestling – The Smark’s Shoot Standings (S3) are where YOU let us know YOURS.

Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the four performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why. And/or vote for your top performer in our poll.

We also have the outcome of last week’s voting, the results of which make up our annual competition for Performer of the Year.

Remember, the Standings are for the previous week’s nationally televised and internet streaming pro wrestling shows – New Japan’s New Beginning in Osaka, the Feb. 11 episode of Monday Night Raw, SmackDown & 205 Live on Tues, Feb. 12, NXT UK, NXT & ROH TV from Wednesday, the Feb. 15 Impact, EVOLVE 121 & 122, and any other internet streaming wrestling that aired from Feb. 10 – Feb. 16, 2019.

Make YOUR mark, smarks!

It’s this guy!

Just kidding. Bugenhagen just missed the cut in 11th. But I’m honestly running out of GIFs of The Man in her landmark season.

  • We can always just start using GIFs of her beating up McMahons, I suppose.
  • The New DB is still champ and escaped with his hempen belt while his Chamber challengers beat each other up (Joe got a few licks in though), but I still wonder when y’all are pay your respects to his intellectual peer.
  • The Hugster had to do it alone, but The Boss took a beating and still stood up on the apron, so she gets a Standings point, too.
  • Quickly announcing what he planned to do with his Worlds Collide win put Dream at the head of several representatives from the black-and-yellow brand, including the Genius of the Sky and a guest appearance by the Cruiserweight Crusader.
  • Not that he really needs to do much to get votes, but Finn & his abs did beat Lio during the week under consideration last Sunday.

The S3: 2018 – 19, Week 44

2. Daniel Bryan
3. Bayley
4. Velveteen Dream

Points in our weekly Standings determine our annual list – full details on rules and scoring HERE.

Where… is Performer of the Year a wrap? Absolutely. But don’t phone in those votes now, as the spots 2 – 4 are a dog fight, and we’ve got folks moving around the back half of the top ten every week!

Another week down, and another week of Raw, Smackdown, NXT , New Japan, and the rest of the indies (Sermon on the Mat helps us keep track of that last one – you do read it every week, don’t you?) for your consideration.

Click/type away with who impressed you the most, and we’ll see you next Sunday.
