Down in Mexico last weekend, a new faction in AAA was formed with Jack Evans, Australian Suicide, and Sammy Guevara. Los Guardianes de Lucha Libre aim to capture trios gold. All they need now is a theme song.
Australian Suicide thought he had a choice jam. That was until the beats hit Evans’ ears.

Evans gave the song a chance then his eyes enlarged and his brow furrowed.
“Are you kidding me? Are you playing f-ing mumble rap? Are you playing f-ing Lil Xan? get that shit the f. Are you kidding me? Are you f-ing kidding me? No, no, no. There’s no f-ing Lil Xan.”
In a fit of rage, Evans threw Australian Suicide’s 25 peso Powerade against the wall and left the room.
Whether that was a natural reaction or planned, it was hilarious. I laugh every time I watch the look on Evans’ face as his eyes widened to the realization of it being mumble rap. Mark down mumble rap as reason 2590218273920394720203993+e1238378 why Evans hates millennials.
That reaction must be something that happens as people get older. I wonder if it has something to do with the increased growth of ear hair as we age that alters how sound reaches our ear drums. I’m sure we all have stories of parents reacting in a similar manner to a particular musical artist. I can vividly remember popping in Rick James during a long car ride and my mom instantly losing her mind. I have no clue where that reaction came from, but I chuckle about to this day.
Are you down with the mumble rap game? Or do you react more like Jack Evans when mumble rap hits the speakers? What types of music send you into a fit of rage?
