After all was said and done at the UFC 234 pay-per-view (PPV) event — which went down on Sat., Feb. 9, 2018, inside Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia — there was plenty of “Thrill and Agony” to go around.
Sharing in the obvious joy was Israel Adesanya, who did enough to out-point Anderson Silva in a three-round headlining fight that saw the two men wow fight fans for 15 minutes in a “Fight of the Night” bonus-winning bout (see it again here). “The Last Stylebender” enjoyed the victory with his family back stage.
On the flip side of the coin, Anderson was in obvious agony after suffering his fifth defeat in his last seven outings. Despite his skid, “The Spider” clarified after the loss that he is far from done in the fight game, revealing he’d like to return as soon as UFC 237.
