Remember just a couple months ago when rumors got around that The Revival had a situation backstage at Monday Night Raw, and days later it was reported they asked for their release from WWE?
If we’re to believe Dash Wilder’s word from a recent interview with The Mirror, the Internet got that wrong but they don’t want to correct anyone on it. No, they’d rather just have fun with it:
“Hmm, I won’t touch on it too much, but what I will say is that it was lost in translation. There were some things that got out there that I don’t think people knew the full story about. I don’t think it aggravated us, it kind of gave us… again, we like to be angry. We like to be mad at things and have something to fight for. So that gave us more fuel for the fire and we were like… ‘we’ll have fun with the internet over that, as they don’t know what’s what, so we’re not going to tell them otherwise’.”
Hey, whatever keeps you motivated, right?
Then again, I’m not sure how much fun they could have really had with it, considering. And why it wouldn’t have been easier to simply clear it up, if the reports were, in fact, incorrect. Then again, Wilder doesn’t expressly say that, and he must know it will only further speculation that it’s what happened.
But hey, fun is fun, right?
For whatever it’s worth, they’ve been booked much better since all that, and are the current Raw tag team champions.
