The Bar to face The Usos on SmackDown tonight

Share the joy

Maybe SmackDown wants to avoid being the butt of the same jokes Raw was for booking the 800th Dolph Ziggler vs. Seth Rollins match of the year. More likely, they just ran out of reasons to have The Bar faced The New Day… for now.

Whatever the reason, we don’t want to look a gift horse in the mouth here. The SmackDown tag champs vs. The Usos should be great. The fact it’s the first time Cesaro & Sheamus (with and without Big Show) have wrestled a team other than Big E, Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods on a Tuesday night since Sept. 11 is just a bonus.

Their bout tonight (Nov. 27) is specified as non-title, so it’s probably either ending in a DQ or a clean loss for the champs in order to justify a rematch. And that will probably kick off two months of Usos vs. The Bar matches. Enjoy it while it’s fresh, is what we’re saying.

Who knows, maybe they’ll add a third team to the mix for a Triple Threat ladder match at the TLC pay-per-view (PPV) on Dec. 16? Another team, like, say… The New Day.
