Stip for NWA title bout announced during New Japan match on ROH PPV

Share the joy

Nick Aldis was a guest at the commentary booth during the Bullet Club vs. CHAOS match on Ring of Honor’s Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view (PPV) on Fri., Sept. 28.

He was there because the man who beat him for the NWA Worlds title was in the match, and Aldis will face Cody Rhodes for that belt again at the NWA 70th Anniversary PPV on Oct. 21. And because Cody defends the belt against Willie Mack while Nick battles Christopher Daniels at tomorrow night’s ROH TV taping.

Since Cody’s still under contract to ROH, and ROH is partnered with both the NWA and New Japan, this was a perfect time to add a stipulation to Rhodes/Aldis II:

Does that get you more invested in the rematch? Or were you already (ahem) all in just based on the first one, or Jim Cornette doing color commentary?

(Marty Scurll won the ten-man tag for Bullet Club by getting Rocky Romero to tap, btw. Full DBD results here.)
