As she told it on the latest episode of Talking Snack:
“I’ve been thinking about that a lot lately. I feel like… I don’t feel like I’m old — 26 is not old, I have to keep telling myself that, but I have done a lot already. Of course the biggest goal for me is to main event WrestleMania. Like, I have to accomplish that. To me that’s such a far fetched thing that I never ever thought would happen but just to see the growth of what we’ve done and within three years I know that’s possible, and I know we can make it happen as a group together. It’s such a beautiful division right now where, legit, every woman wants to make this place better. We want to be like the guys. We want to keep on having great storylines, and more matches. We just want to. I want to be better than the guys every time I go out there. Outside WWE I don’t have any other dreams. WWE is it for me.”
It’s entirely possible, and maybe even likely, that women main event WrestleMania 35 next year in New Jersey. It wouldn’t be Sasha Banks, but at the very least it would set the precedent that WWE is willing to put women in the position, which gives its current crop of stars that much more to aspire to.
Sure, Sasha hasn’t been at the top of the division for a while now, but these things are cyclical and she was involved in plenty of major firsts during her run at the top of the division. She will be back there soon enough, and, if all goes well, that could include accomplishing that final goal.
