Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that — rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it’s just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. We track rumor accuracy in a weekly feature called Rumor Look Back you can find here. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Fox wants Ronda Rousey on SmackDown, according to Wrestling Inc. The network thinks her mainstream popularity and credibilty as a former athlete will help them sell the show to advertisers.
  • A photo she tweeted of herself at the Performance Center resulted in reports that Alexa Bliss has begun training for her return to a wrestling role on Raw.
  • The previously reported “super push” for Lars Sullivan on the main roster will likely include a bidding war or his services, per Wrestling Observer Radio. On PW Insider Elite Audio, Mike Johnson speculated it would similar to how heel managers fought over Bam Bam Bigelow during his WWF debut.
  • Jim Ross is involved with the All Elite Wrestling project, says Rajah.com, possibly even at the management level.
  • PW Insider says an announcement could be coming as early as today that a live stream of New Japan’s Wrestle Kingdom 13 will be available on the Fite.TV app.
