Ronda Rousey Explains why she helped Asuka at TLC

Ronda Rousey finished her 2018 year in apotheosis. During TLC, she managed to retain her RAW women’s title while weighing heavily on the fate of the SmackDown women’s belt. The current champion of the red show has indeed helped Asuka to win the title against Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair. An intervention that should have consequences in the road to WrestleMania.

In the meantime, Rousey spoke about her act at TLC directly via her YouTube channel:

“I have a lot of respect for Asuka and I have always had some. I did not really want to ruin his Royal Rumble celebration. I just wanted to come, congratulate her and make more people witness this incredible moment. She was not very excited about that. At TLC, Charlotte and Becky are two cheats, so they deserved it. I do not have to explain myself about my actions. My actions spoke for me. Revenge is a p*** and Asuka deserves more than being a champion. She never had to cheat. She never tried to leave a match because she was losing. She’s just the best and she’s a champion now.”

WWE could use this storyline to create a major match at WrestleMania. Many fans are calling for the Becky Lynch vs. Ronda Rousey who was removed from Survivor Series… However, we could also see a match between the four WWE horsewomen (Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Bayley, and Sasha Banks) against four UFC horsewomen (Ronda Rousey, Shayna Baszler, Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke).
