WWE has confirmed its first match for this year’s Survivor Series PPV. During the most recent Monday Night RAW program, the match between Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch was announced for the next big event.
The match was confirmed after a face-to-face meeting between both superstars. After her victories in the past Evolution event, Lynch interrupted an interview with Rousey to have a brief moment of tension with her counterpart of the red mark.
This will be the first match between both, being also the first match between champions confirmed for the event. Both come from having maintained their respective women’s titles in Evolution, the first special WWE show consisting only of women.
With the announcement of the match, it is confirmed that this year Survivor Series will maintain its confrontational format between the RAW and SmackDown brands. After the most recent division of brands in 2016, the show has maintained this trend, presenting matches between superstars of both shows.
