Back in 2010 Roger Gracie himself used a helpful technique to go from closed guard to a back take, and it enabled him to choke his way to the top of the podium.

Even if you’re not an elite athlete with Gracie blood, you too can use this technique to your advantage. In this video, Invisible Jiu-Jitsu‘s David Morcegao demonstrates how to start with your opponent in closed guard and end with them being snuggled to sleep. Give it a try!
