In 2018, the women of the WWE were finally introduced to their own Royal Rumble match. Asuka outlasted 29 other women to become the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble winner. With Asuka currently holding the SmackDown Women’s Championship, we’re almost guaranteed a new winner in 2019. With all the talented superstars on the roster, who has the best chance to punch their ticket to WrestleMania?

The 2018 Women’s Royal Rumble did not disappoint, as stars from the past mixed it up with stars of the future, while house-hold names such as Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch put on the expected exceptional performance.

Lita, Torrie Wilson, Molly Holly, Michelle McCool, Vickie Guerrero, Kelly Kelly, Jacqueline, Beth Phoenix and Trish Stratus all competed in the inaugural event, creating never-before-seen match-ups with the current members of the roster.

In just a year, the WWE’s women’s roster has continued to grow, meaning there won’t be the need for as many returning legends, but that doesn’t mean we won’t see some familiar faces.

Could fan favorites who missed out on last year’s event make an appearance? Will the women of NXT and NXT UK show up to crash the party? Which members of the main roster will throw their names in the hat with a main event opportunity at WrestleMania on the line?

With plenty of names to choose from, I will attempt to predict all 30 entrants in the 2019 Women’s Royal Rumble match.

1-2. Ruby Riott & Liv Morgan

Starting off the Royal Rumble at the 1 or 2 spots is usually seen as a disadvantage because of the obvious reason that you have to last longer in the ring than any other superstar.

That being said, plenty of superstars have overcome the odds, spending long periods of time in the ring with a select few even winning from the first two spots.

If Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan started opposite another opponent such as Sasha Banks or Bayley, they might be at an immediate disadvantage, but if they started the bout together, that could mean trouble for the rest of the field.

Usually when teammates compete in Royal Rumble matches, they eventually end up fighting before one eliminates another.

However, the Riott Squad’s chemistry has been one of the bright spots on Monday nights and I like to believe they’d use that to their advantage in the Women’s Royal Rumble match.

How great would it be to see Morgan hanging out on the top rope taunting as she and Riott wait for the next entrant. Overall, it could be a great opportunity to really showcase the team with the incoming Women’s Tag Team Titles.

Even if a member of the Riott Squad didn’t win the entire thing, at the very least they’d have to be considered the favorites to hold the new titles in the near future.
