For a few fleeting moments Nate Burleson channeled his inner Bart Scott.
When it comes to cutting a pro wrestling promo a little bit of passion can take you a long way. Today (Jan. 31) on the NFL Network’s Good Morning Football, 49ers tight end and known pro wrestling fan George Kittle tasked hosts Burleson and Kyle Brandt with cutting a pro wrestling.
Why? Because morning show television basically.
On one side of the ring we have Brandt cutting an over the top Ultimate Warrior style promo. Extra points to Brandt for his full on sprint to the stage.
Then Burleson dug down deep and cut a promo to hype up the Super Bowl 53 favorites, AFC champion New England Patriots.
This right here must be what Bully Ray and Mark Henry meant when they talked about how Ronda Rousey’s ‘cut off my hair and wash her feet with it’ promo was somehow actually good pro wrestling.
Lots of passion here, but all it really proves is that Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, and the New England Patriots are still the biggest heels in all of sports.
