20 years later and Mick Foley can still make us nervous.
In a surprise move this past Monday on Raw, Foley was named the special guest referee for Roman Reigns’ title defense versus Braun Strowman at Hell in a Cell.
20 years removed from his famous Hell in a Cell match with The Undertaker, everyone’s first thoughts after the announcement was if Foley would be getting physical in the match? It’s 2018 and Mick Foley really can’t be considering taking any extreme bumps on Sunday night, right?
Appearing on the SiriusXM Busted Open morning show today (Sept. 13), the 53-year-old did not tip-toe around what he expects to happen once the match between Reigns and Strowman begins.
“Well once that door shuts the focus will go on them. I don’t think there is a chance in the world the people will be focusing on me. I honestly, because this is the type of show where your audience cares to tune in above and beyond your regular fan. Obviously I hope I get involved in some way.”
Don’t do it Mick.
After a long career taking brutal back and neck bumps plus the toll of concussions wearing on his body, hopefully Foley won’t feel the need to doing anything crazy this Sunday at Hell in a Cell.
It was only six years ago, when Foley confessed he wanted to have a match with Dean Ambrose but plans to further that feud were nixed when he could not get medically cleared by doctors.
With Mick Foley serving as the third man in the ring, how would you have the Hardcore Legend get involved, if at all, during Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman?
