Ortiz, also a former UFC champion, is coming off a submission win over Chael Sonnen at Bellator 170 in 2017.

Round 1: Herb Dean is the the third man in the cage for this one. Chuck plants his feet in the center of the cage and lobs in a lazy jab. Circling away, Liddell continues to paw at his opponent before jumping back to avoid a looping left hook. Ortiz attacks with a lead leg kick. Both men exchange one-two combinations but neither land anything significant. Ortiz shows no sign of respect for Liddell’s power as he doesn’t even dodge a series of jabs.

Liddell misses badly with an overhand right. Popping up, Liddell eats a left jab to the nose. Ortiz continues to find a home for his left jab but momentarily trips after missing with a straight right. Mocking his opponent, Ortiz uncorks a haymaker to the jaw of Liddell, sending him tumbling to the canvas.

Swarming in, Ortiz lands a barrage of bombs to his unconscious opponent’s skull, forcing the referee to the stop the fight.

Official result: Tito Ortiz def. Chuck Liddell via KO (punches) at 4:24 of R1
