The Prime Minister of Ireland, Leo Varadkar, does not want to be associated with Conor McGregor and his unlawful actions.

Varadkar, who is the current Taoiseach of Ireland, was recently accused of snubbing the UFC star during last week’s St. Patrick’s Day march in Chicago.

Members of the media noted that the Irish Premier was attempting to move further and further away from Conor McGregor, this after he noticed “Mystic Mac” in attendance.

Varadkar would later confirm that he was not aware that the UFC star would be participating in the parade (via County Press).

“I was happy to walk in the parade in Chicago,” Varadkar said. “I wasn’t specifically walking with Conor. As I understand, he was there promoting his whiskey.”

“I was there at the parade at the invitation of organisers representing the country. Conor McGregor was there, I believe, at the invitation of the Plumbers Union.”

Leo Varadkar continued:

“Obviously he’s had some trouble with the law in recent months, and I wouldn’t condone or like to be associated with the kind of actions he’s been involved in, which include prosecution in New York and a potential prosecution in Florida.”

Conor McGregor was arrested for strong-armed robbery earlier this month in Miami, this after allegedly stealing and then stomping another man’s phone.

As it stands, Conor McGregor is now involved in two criminal cases. The Irish superstar is still dealing with the legal ramifications from his dolly throwing incident last April in Brooklyn.

The now infamous fighter bus attack left multiple individuals injured, including UFC athletes Michael Chiesa and Ray Borg.

Conor McGregor has not stepped foot inside the octagon since being submitted by Khabib Nurmagomedov in the main event of UFC 229 this past October in Las Vegas.
