Hofstra came out strong with wins in three of the first four bouts to take a 13-6 advantage. Cefolo’s pin of Jacob Martin at 133 accounted for the three Rider points before Gino Fluri (Blairstown, NJ/North Warren Regional) earned a decision at 157 and Jesse Dellavecchia (Great River, NY/East Islip) won by forfeit to give Rider the 15-13 lead.
The Pride retook the lead, 16-15, with a decision at 174, before the Broncs won the last three matches. Michale Fagg-Daves (Somerset, NJ/Franklin) won a 7-6 decision at 184, while Ethan Laird (Waterford, PA/General McLane) won, 3-1, in sudden victory at 197. Ryan Cloud (Brookville, OH/Northmont) wrapped up the win with a 5-3 decision at 285.
