This is the first installment of our new Docu-Series “I Am A BJJ Fanatic.” In this episode we get an inside look at one of the best modern competitors lives. Leonardo “Cascao” Saggioro was the Adult IBJJF Black Belt Runner Up two years in a row in the World Championships in arguably the toughest division. He lost in a close finals match to none other than Ruben Charles “Cobrihna.”
Cascao is also a purple belt world champion and he has one of the most incredible work ethics in the world. There is no recipe for becoming a world champion in this sport and among all of the Black Belt Adult World Champions, they all have different training regimens. The only common characteristic that all of them share is a desire, and will to win and the work ethic that it takes to become a champion.
All the greatest Brazilian Jiu Jitsu champions in the world worked hard, they continued to train when they had no energy, they tapped every day, they felt the soreness, the pain, the back aches, the neck aches, the fatigue, the exhaustion, and they embraced it and came back the next day. Leonardo “Cascao” is a shining example of what it takes to be a champion. Please enjoy this inside look on his life and keep training hard.
