Former UFC bantamweight champion Holly Holm isn’t going anywhere.

The former champ was down to the last two obligations on her current UFC deal, but has reportedly inked a new, six-fight deal with the Las Vegas based promotion. This news was first reported by ESPN and subsequently verified by Marc Raimondi of MMA Fighting, who spoke with Holm’s manager Lenny Fresquez.

Holly Holm, 37, currently owns an overall record of 12-4-0, and a UFC mark of 5-4. Her last fight occurred all the way back in June of 2018, when she spoiled the UFC debut of former Invicta champion Megan Anderson with a dominant unanimous decision win. This victory separated Holm from a decision loss to former UFC featherweight champ Cris Cyborg, which also occurred in the featherweight division. Her next most recent win occurred in the bantamweight division, the division where she previously wore gold, where she knocked out Bethe Correia.

Holly Holm is best known for her shocking, 2015 knockout victory over the once dominant Ronda Rousey, which kickstarted her reign as UFC bantamweight champ. Unfortunately for Holm and her fans, she surrendered the title to Miesha Tate in her next bout, and subsequently lost her next two fights to Valentina Shevchenko and Germaine de Randamie.

Despite her mixed results of late, Holly Holm remains one of the premier players in both the UFC bantamweight and featherweight divisions. In fact, she could be considered the top contender in both divisions.

She was briefly linked to a UFC 235 fight with Aspen Ladd, but this fight was nixed amid her contract negotiations. With her new UFC contract signed, we can probably expect to see her back in the cage soon.
