Thoughts: I definitely see this one going the distance — Golovkin shrugged off one of the best right hands Canelo’s ever thrown in the first fight and he struggled to land his bigger shots in return. The jury’s still out on whether Canelo can absorb Golovkin’s fiercest blows, but he’s adept enough at avoiding them that it may prove moot.

A straight bet on the fight going to the cards seems wisest, but if you’re confident enough that judging shenanigans won’t ensue again, I have every faith that Golovkin will earn the win. Despite fighting with an imperfect gameplan and Canelo fighting brilliantly, “GGG” still deserved the victory last year. I doubt a year is going to make all that much of a difference.

MMAmania will have LIVE coverage of “Golovkin vs. Canelo 2” this Saturday, starting with the HBO PPV broadcast at 8 p.m. ET. We’ll also have a live stream of the untelevised undercard beginning at 6 p.m. ET.
