Forget ready – we’re not worthy of Asuka

Share the joy

Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what’s going on in pro wrestling – The Smark’s Shoot Standings (S3) are where YOU let us know YOURS.

Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the four performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why. And/or vote for your top performer in our poll.

We also have the outcome of last week’s voting, the results of which make up our annual competition for Performer of the Year.

Remember, the Standings are for the previous week’s nationally televised and internet streaming pro wrestling shows – the Dec. 24 episode of Monday Night Raw, SmackDown on Tues, Dec. 25, NXT UK, 205 Live, NXT & ROH TV from Wednesday, Thursday’s Impact Wrestling and any other internet streaming wrestling that aired from Dec. 23 – 29, 2018.

Make YOUR mark, smarks!

Winning the title in a TLC war and defending it two days later?

Forget not ready. We’re not worthy.

  • Both the SmackDown Women’s champion’s pay-per-view (PPV) rivals made your lists, too. Naomi was left in catering.
  • Get moved from 205 Live to SmackDown and pin the WWE champ, who was fresh off a really good title defense? That’ll get you (and said champ) a lot of votes.
  • #DIY Dark. ‘Nuff said.
  • He paid for it on Raw, but Finn pulled off the upset at TLC. And he looked good both nights.
  • Rowdy won the war against the Irresistable Force and watched her bestie become #1 contender a night later. Not a bad couple days.

There’s been a holiday lull, but there was still wrestling in between the clip shows and “best of lists”. Think about the holiday memories create by Raw, Smackdown, NXT, Impact, and the wide world of indies wrestling (for which you should let Sermon on the Mat be your guide). The vote! We’ll be back in the new year with the results.
