I was just musing last week about how All Elite Wrestling was using Cody Rhodes’ Road To Double Or Nothing YouTube show for big news about the promotion, while their more famous series – The Young Bucks’ Being The Elite – was just carrying out their regular storylines.
Then, at the end of the above self-described “filler episode” released today (Mar. 4), Matt & Nick Jackson drop details about this…
AEW had already let it be known their next event after May 25’s Double Or Nothing in Las Vegas would happen in Jacksonville this summer with a potion of proceeds going to victims of gun violence, but now we have a few more specifics.
Fight For The Fallen will happen at the Daily’s Place Amphitheater, a 5,500 seat venue located on the grounds of TIAA Bank Field. That’s of course the home of the Jacksonville Jaguars, the NFL franchise owned by AEW’s owners, the Khans.
Tickets for the Sat., July 13 show will be “available soon”. Presumably there will be a pay-per-view (PPV) broadcast of the show, but no word on that yet. Bea Priestley has been announced as appearing, but that’s all we know as far as what to expect on the show. Matches featuring the big AEW stars like Cody, the Bucks, Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho can probably be banked on, though.
Excited? Or at least as excited as you can be for a show with no card from a company that hasn’t put on their first official wrestling event yet?
