At NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool, Toni Storm pinned Rhea Ripley to become the United Kingdom Women’s Champion. Here are four possible rivals for one of WWE’s most charismatic superstars.
Though Rhea Ripley made herself a breakout star in 2018 by carrying herself with swagger as the first NXT UK Women’s Champion, Toni Storm has always been billed as the face of WWE’s newest brand. Storm, after all, was a huge standout at the first Mae Young Classic before completing a minor upset of Io Shirai in the finals of the Mae Young Classic 2 at the all-women’s Pay Per View Evolution on Oct. 28.
At NXT TakeOver: Blackpool, Storm defeated Ripley in the co-main event of the show, pinning her with “Storm Zero” to vanquish her toughest foe to this point. Storm absorbed an immense amount of punishment from Ripley before finally willing herself to a heart-warming victory in front of a fired-up Blackpool crowd.
Now that Storm is champion, there are a number of possible opponents for her to face, assuming this rivalry with Ripley will come to a close. But that’s a dangerous assumption to make, because these two were clearly meant to be rivals – and Ripley isn’t a woman who forgets a loss easily.
That said, here are four possible opponents for Storm whenever her feud with Ripley ends, and it is worth keeping in mind that both Jazzy Gabert and Kay Lee Ray were seemingly announced as new NXT UK signings when they were shown in the crowd.
